But now let us have a closer look on what expects you on this amazing Day Tour!
What happens on your Silfra Diving & Golden Circle Day Tour?
Our Combo Tour starts with the pick-up at your hotel in Reykjavik by our trusted partners. We follow the Golden Circle anti-clockwise and start our Combo Day Tour in the southern area. Our first stop takes you to the Hveragerði village which is known for its geothermal area.
Our next stop shows the famous Kerið crater, a volcano crater 55 meters deep, filled with a 14 meters deep lake with an amazing blue and green shimmer. The visit includes a little walk through the idyllic green surrounding it.
Afterwards, our Combo Tour leads you to Gulfoss, the Golden Waterfall covering the whole area in a shimmering golden veil on sunny days, followed by a visit to the highly active geysers and boiling hot pots with the well-known most active geysir Strokkur, which erupts about every 4-6 minutes. The sulfurous water paints and sculpts the land in marvelous ways. But the best is yet to come…
Tour Highlight: Visit Thingvellir and dive Silfra
At Thingvellir we do a Diving Tour in the famous Silfra fissure created by the ripping apart of the tectonic plates along the Mid-Altantic Ridge, seeing the whole of Silfra: Hall, Cathedral and Lagoon. You can also book this part of our day tour as a snorkeling tour instead.
After a full day of discovering all the Golden Circle’s magnificent highlights, the day tour leads us back to Reykjavik and you will surely have no problem falling asleep.
The Golden Circle bus tour is guaranteed as a small group experience and your tour guides will be local experts with great knowledge about the area and able to take questions due to the small size of the group.
Please note that in order to dive in Silfra you must have dry suit certification or 10 logged dry suit dives within the last two years of tour date and be able to provide written proof from a diving instructor of these dry suit dives.

Diving Silfra & Golden Circle Tour
We had an excellent day touring the Golden Circle with DIVE.IS. First off the staff was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Our first stop was to dive Silfra which was super easy due to our expert guides Tania and Mario. They outfitted us and gave clear instructions all while maintaining great humor. The dive alone was fantastic but our guides made the experience even better. Off we went with Rudi to see the waterfall at gullfoss and the geysir in geysir. Rudi was an exceptional tour guide and went to great lengths to entertain our 10 year old son with the amazing Iceland history & sagas the entire time in transit. We would highly recommend this tour group for anyone seeing Iceland especially Rudi, Tania and Mario if you can.

Frequently asked questions about our Diving Silfra & Golden Circle Combo Tour
-
Are photos always taken on the Diving Day Tours?
-
Our dive guides carry an underwater camera on most dives in Silfra and other dive sites. The dive guides try to take as many great underwater photographs as possible on these dives. However, safety comes always first and it can occur that the dive guide chooses to not distract him-/herself from dive safety on particular dives in difficult conditions or with insecure divers. In that case it might happen that few or no photos are taken. We hope for your understanding should this be the case.
Usually the photos of the dives are available for purchase after the dive tour. Please check out our Souvenir page for more info.

-
Is food included in the Golden Circle Tour?
-
Unfortunately food is not included in the Golden Circle tour, expect for a hot drink and biscuits after your dive or snorkel. You will however have the chance to purchase food at either Gullfoss or Geysir were there are several options available, both hot and cold meals. You are also welcome to bring food and snacks with you, which you will be allowed to eat on the bus :)

-
When do we dive/snorkel on the Golden Circle Tour?
-
We only offer the Golden Circle tour in the Spring and in the Summer, from April to September. The tour is combined with the 5:00pm snorkeling and diving tours, so you will be at Silfra at the end of the day.
