2 tours in one day
on the Golden circle
This is a selfdrive Golden circle combo with 2 experiences, Snorkeling in Silfra and Conventional ride with Mega Zipline in Hveragerði.
The tour starts in Silfra in Thingvellir National park for a 2,5- 3 hour snorkeling tour. After the snorkeling tour you will selfdrive the Golden circle having plenty of time to check out the sights on way including Gullfoss, Geysir and Kerið. We have left plenty of time for lunch as well. On the way back you will stop in Hveragerði and join a Mega Zipline tour.
Snorkeling in Silfra
Silfra is a fissure between the North American and Eurasian continental plates. Silfra constantly fills with glacial water that has been trickling through underground lava rock for 30 years. This remarkable crack between two tectonic plates is therefore filled with the clearest water on our planet, allowing for over 100 meters visibility.
On the snorkeling tour we will dress you in a dry suit and guide you through the four parts of the Silfra fissure. Floating through Silfra's crystal clear water is an otherworldly experience; the near-freezing water, astonishing colors, and sensations of flying provide a very unique environment for liquid meditation that you will never forget.
After the snorkeling tour, you have plenty of time to sightsee the Golden circle. Thingvellir National park, the home of Silfra is well worth a walk and a visit to the information center. Then you continue on your way to Geysir/Strokkur geothermal area and the majestic Gullfoss waterfall. When you have looked at these amazing sights and possibly had lunch as well, you can make your way to Hveragerði village.
Conventional ride with MEGA ZIPLINE
In the conventional ride, you will experience the thrill of flying through the amazing Icelandic landscape. You will be sitting in a comfortable specially designed harness that makes this ride truly sensational for all senses. This tour, which is a full kilometer of pure excitement, starts with the amazing “Black Canyon” with its beautiful waterfalls and columnar basalt and ends with the beautiful Reykjadalsá river by Reykjadalur Cafe.
This longest zip-line in Iceland is a high-flying adventure for the whole family. After the ride you can purchase a high-quality video footage of your flight.
Worth the money and great for any weather
The views were amazing. We went on a rainy, dull day but the water was still so clear. Our guide Gabe was great! He was helpful getting on and off the equipment (help was very much needed lol) and was great at bringing us through the water. He also took great pictures of us even when we couldn’t smile from our face being numb from the water lol. We got a cup of hot chocolate and biscuits after which helped you warm back up
