A not-to-be-missed experience!

The Most Popular All-Year Glacier Walk Day Tour

A glacier walk is a great way to experience the Icelandic nature and landscape, and a tour to Sólheimajökull glacier is an ideal way to spend the day. On the two-hour drive from Reykjavík to the glacier, you will have great views of the famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano that caused so much trouble when it erupted in the spring of 2010. An event that has marked the beginning of mass tourism in Iceland.

Sólheimajökull lies just east of the volcano and it's Iceland’s fourth-largest glacier. There, we will guide you on a safe and easy Glacier Walk on crampons up onto the icy landscape.

After being picked up in Reykjavík by your professional driver guide, you will take a scenic 2-hour drive to Sólheimajökull glacier along the South Coast of Iceland.
Once we reach the glacier, we will explore the wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges, and deep crevasses, and you will learn about these disappearing giants. Our experienced mountain guides will teach you how to use the basic glacier gear necessary for this tour. This tour also gives the opportunity to enjoy the picturesque waterfalls of Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss.

We provide all the necessary gear, such as an ice axe, crampons and a harness. Your expert glacier guide will lead you through a wonderland of ice.
