In 1989 Disney released the „Little Mermaid“ and baised the occupational choices of many young girls, including Me. I was born and raised in Dresden, a beautiful town in Mid-Germany, dive-able waters were short on hand, so I was as a child often found playing with a snorkel mask in knee deep mountain-streams and rivers. My parents supported that fascination by introducing me every summer to the streams and lakes of Norway. That early nourished Nordic relationship was maybe the reason to decide, against the odds of a Masters degree in Tropical Marine Ecology, to come in 2015 to Iceland and stay. With a Bachelor degree in organic Agriculture, Iceland's use of geothermal energy in green-housing has given me another watered up connection to this country. With a more comprehensive background in scientific diving, I entered the recreational diving-world in summer 2016 by completing my Divemaster, and 2017 Instructor here in Iceland. I am looking forward to continue the road of education in my diving skills, and will maybe get step by step closer to finally really growing a fishtail in the near future.
