Iceland is a great place to start to learn scuba diving, since it has an amazingly beautiful underwater world.
The ocean here is full of life.
Two of our unique dive sites (SilfraAll details about Silfra crack... and StrýtanAll about the geothermal chimney...) are rated within Top 3 and Top 5 on this planet by many of the biggest dive magazines.
You will dive in a dry suit which is a qualification that divers that learn diving in warm waters will have to learn in a separate course, the PADI Dry Suit Speciality Course.

What Will You Do During Your PADI Open Water Diver Course?
The Padi Open Water Diver Course program is designed to teach you how to dive safely.
The course is split up into a self study part, a knowledge development session (one evening), 5 confined water sessions (one evening) in a swimming pool and 4 Open Water Dives (on 2 days), the two first ones at a maximum depth of 12 meters and the last two at 18 meters maximum.
Throughout the course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques.
