The tour begins when we will pick you up from your hotel in the Reykjavik area and drive about 45 minutes to Thingvellir National Park.
Please note that this tour can be combined with the Silfra Snorkeling TourDetailed information on our Silfra Snorkeling Tour for your non-diving friends & family.
Your guide will point out interesting facts about the history and geology of the park. On the way to SilfraDetailed information on the dive site Silfra we will show you some stunning views over the National Park.
Between 1st of May and 30th of September we pick our divers up at around 8am at their accommodation in Reykjavik. We will be back in Reykjavik at around 3pm. In the winter time this schedule will be delayed by one or two hours to make the most of the daylight.
When we arrive at the dive site we will gear up and walk to the platform, where your guide will give you a briefing on the first dive. Well take a few steps down the ladder and make contact to the World's clearest water to dive in. Take a sip!
The slight current formed by the underground wells will make our dive in the crack an easy one. Your dive guide will lead the dive and take photos and videos. If you are interested you can purchase a DVD of the videos and high resolution photos after the tour.
After the first dive we will make our way back along a challenging but rewarding 250m path with our dive gear before warming our hands and spirits over some hot chocolate and delicious cookies.
We usually plan our dives so that we see Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral and the Silfra Lagoon on both dives.
