The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course (AOWD) is the next step in your diving carrer.


PADI Adventures in Diving Manual In this course you will learn many new diving skills and get to know some of Icelands great dive sites.

The AOWD course consists of 5 adventure dives and some theoretical studies. The PADI Adventures in Diving Manual will be handed out in the beginning of the course and you will choose the 5 specialty dives together with your instructor.

Two of the specialty dives are mandatory.
Since you will earn the right to dive to a maximum depth of 30meters after completing this course a deep dive will be done as one of the 5 dives. Another mandatory dive is the navigation dive where you will learn how to navigate underwater, both using natural navigation as well as a compass.

Our favorite choice for the third dive is a night dive. Night dives are a fantastic experience where you can see many things you wouldn't see on a day dive.
Furthermore there are two other specialty dives to choose from. This could for example be a photography, a peak performance buoyancy or a wreck dive.
