OUR TOURS

The Westfjords are the most remote and sparsely populated area in Iceland.

In October 2010 six of our instructors got together for an expedition to Iceland‘s remarkable Westfjords. The Westfjords are characterized by dramatic fjords and towering angular cliffs rising sharply from the deep blue seas. It was an amazing experience for us to travel this area and even though we had 5 days exploration time we hardly scratched the surface concerning discovering the undiscoverd dive sites we have heard about and had researched on.

Amazing walls, diving with seals, a whale graveyard with heaps of whale bones, a big old ancient wreck and more wrecks. We talked to many different insiders in the area and heard about many other wrecks, great nature dive sites and the geothermal chimneys of the Westfjords.

On this expedition we will spend about half of our dives discovering new dive sites we have already heard about but never got the chance to dive. We look very much forward to revisit and show you the highlights of what we found last year. On land we will see many of the unique sights of this amazing area of Iceland including amazing mountains & fjords, incredible waterfalls, some of the worlds largest bird cliffs, pictoresque little villages and deserted farms and whaling stations that stimulate your imagination of forgotten times.

Prerequisites:	Advanced Scuba dive certification (PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent) Dry suit experience!
Duration:	7 days
Please bring:	Warm clothes, long underwear, thick socks. Dive equipment (All dive equipment can be rented from us)
Included:	All transport on land and on water, 6 nights accommodation incl. breakfast, 10 guided dives, air tanks and weights
Accommodation:	6 nights accommodation in shared rooms with shared bathrooms (usually double rooms)
Maximum:	7 divers
