OUR TOURS

Diving with diving seabirds is one amazing thing to experience.

We first conducted a Grimsey Expedition in 2009 in order to try to dive with seabirds. We were amazed by the amazing visibility and the abundance of birds diving all around us. Since then we have been doing this tour every year at least once.

This tour combines the 3 Day Strýtan & Silfra Tour with 3 days on the most nothern inhabited island of Iceland - Grimsey.
Diving birds - Grimsey, Iceland © Erlendur Bogason On this tour we will dive the geothermally heated river Litla á and will explore the geothermal chimneys (Strýtan), both the big and the small ones and marvel on the beauty of Icelands fresh water fissures such as Silfra and the newly discovered ones near Ásbýrgi up North. Grimsey is the most northern inhabited island in Iceland and lies exactly on the arctic circle. It‘s a fantastic experience to come there and get to know the society of only 115 people. At the time when we are there, there will be millions of seabirds nesting in the steep cliffs and apart from observing them on land we plan to dive with them.



On this tour we will also see many of Iceland‘s amazing on land sights, such as the waterfall Goðafoss, the bird cliffs of Grimsey and the National Park Thingvellir. In 2012 & 2013 we will have a couple of scheduled tours for individuals to book into. Please check our Tour calendar 2012 & 2013

Prerequisites:	Advanced Scuba dive certification (PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent) Dry suit experience!
Duration:	6 days
Please bring:	Warm clothes, long underwear, thick socks. Dive equipment (All dive equipment can be rented from us)
Included:	All transport on land and on water, 5 nights accommodation incl. breakfast, 9-10 guided dives, air tanks and weights
Accommodation:	Please note that the price includes 5 nights of accommodation in the North of Iceland. Accommodation in Reykjavik is not included. You have the possibility of booking the accommodation yourself or take one of our accommodation packages. You can choose between basic accommodation and 3 Star Hotel.
